Upgrade your 1988–1998 Chevy or GMC C1500, C2500, K1500, or K2500 with Certified Automotive Experts 304 Stainless Steel Long Tube Exhaust Headers. Engineered with 1-5/8" primaries and 2-1/2" collectors, these headers deliver increased horsepower and torque at mid to high RPMs. Constructed from 16-gauge mandrel-bent stainless steel and reinforced with TIG-welded joints, they provide superior durability and crack resistance. The CNC laser-cut 5/16" flanges ensure a precision seal, while the polished finish adds both corrosion resistance and a professional-grade appearance. Designed as a direct performance upgrade, these headers are a reliable choice for enthusiasts and professionals looking to maximize power and longevity.

Detailed Fitment Notes:

These long tube headers are designed specifically for GM OBS trucks, covering 1988–1998 models (with some carryover into 1999–2000 Classic). While they provide excellent performance gains and a strong stainless steel build, it is important to note that, like most long tube headers, they are not always a simple direct bolt-on replacement.

In some cases, minor modification or clearing will be required to complete the installation. The most common areas where adjustments may be needed include the factory column-shift linkage and the power steering pump bracket. Depending on your vehicle setup, you may need to slightly reposition, trim, or adjust these components to ensure proper clearance.

These considerations are typical for long tube headers across the industry and are not a defect or oversight. They are part of the nature of installing a performance-oriented header system into trucks with variations in drivetrain, options, and decades of wear and changes. For the best results, we recommend that installation be handled by an experienced mechanic or enthusiast familiar with exhaust work.
