Certified Automotive Experts Black Aluminized Thermal Barrier Coated Block Hugger Headers – Gen 1 Small Block Chevy SBC 265–400 V8

Built for tight-clearance installations and classic hot rod builds, these center-dump block hugger headers are purpose-engineered for Gen 1 SBC 265 283 302 305 327 350 400 engines in vehicles manufactured through 1959. Designed to tuck tightly against the block and sit above the frame rails, they are ideal for traditional hot rods, Tri-Five Chevys (1955–1957), early Chevy/GMC trucks (1955–1959), and other pre-1960 applications with front engine mounts. 

Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a black aluminized thermal barrier coating, these headers provide excellent heat resistance, corrosion protection, and long-lasting durability. The set includes upgraded copper/fiber gaskets, 3-bolt collectors, and mounting hardware for a secure installation.

Compatible Applications:

• 1923–1949 street rods with SBC swaps
• 1955–1957 Chevrolet full-size cars (Bel Air, 210, Nomad) with front engine mounts
• 1955–1959 Chevy/GMC trucks (Task Force series)

• GM side-mount engines (1958 and newer)
• Any Year GM clamshell-style mounts 
• Vehicles manufactured after 1959
• Angle-plug cylinder heads
• Frames with crossmembers under center exhaust ports
